NDIS Pricing Arrangements explained for providers

The NDIS Pricing Arrangements set the most you can charge for each support. Limits for 2026–27 apply from 1 July 2026, with a 40% loading in remote areas and 50% in very remote areas.

What the Pricing Arrangements are

The NDIA publishes the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, with a Pricing Schedule listing every support item and its price limit. Registered providers can't charge more than the limit for an NDIA-managed or plan-managed participant.

Price limits usually change once a year, from 1 July. Supports delivered before a change keep the old price, so claims must use the price in force on the day of the support.

Remote and very remote loadings

The limit depends on where the support is delivered, not where your organisation is based. For 2026–27, remote limits are 140% of the national limit and very remote limits are 150%.

AreaLoadingExample: weekday self-care, per hour
National—$73.58
Remote40%$103.01
Very remote50%$110.37

Time-of-day and day-of-week rates

Many supports have different limits for weekday daytime, weekday evening, weekday night, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. The rate follows when the support was delivered.

Getting it right every time

  • Price from the participant's location for every support.
  • Apply the time-of-service rate from the shift's date and time.
  • Load new price limits with their effective date, never over the old ones.
  • Keep your own rates within the limit for each item you deliver.

How Care Nexus helps

Care Nexus prices every line from the NDIS Pricing Arrangements, so your team never looks up a price limit.

  • The National, Remote or Very Remote price limit is applied from the participant's location and the claim type.
  • The time-of-service rate is applied from the date and time of the support: weekday daytime, evening or night, Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
  • When the NDIA publishes new price limits, line items update with the correct effective date. Supports delivered earlier keep their original price.
  • Each support item keeps its current, upcoming and past rates, with a preview of a price change's impact.
  • You add only the supports you deliver and set your own rates within the limits.

  • NDIS short notice cancellations: the rules for providers

  • How to make NDIS bulk payment requests

A bulk payment request is one CSV file that claims every support you delivered to NDIA-managed participants over a period, uploaded in the my NDIS provider portal instead of claiming one by one.

  • NDIS service agreements: requirements and a template checklist

An NDIS service agreement sets out which supports you'll deliver, how, when and at what price, plus your cancellation policy, how changes are made and how to complain. Registered providers must give each participant a copy signed by both of you, or record why that isn't possible.

  • NDIS invoice requirements: what every invoice needs

An NDIS invoice must show your business name and ABN, the participant's name and NDIS number, the support item number, quantity and price, the claim type, the date of each support, the total and any GST. One invoice covers one participant only.

  • NDIS care plans: what a support plan must include

An NDIS care plan, called a support plan in the Practice Standards, records the participant's needs, preferences, strengths and goals, the risks and how they're managed, preventive health and emergency arrangements. It's made with the participant and reviewed at least once a year.
