What a bulk payment request is
Instead of entering each claim by hand, you export your delivered supports to a CSV file and upload it in the my NDIS provider portal. The NDIA then returns a receipt file showing which lines were paid.
What goes in the file
Every required field must be filled in, or the file is rejected. The NDIS bulk payment request guide lists the exact columns.
- Your registration number.
- Each participant's NDIS number.
- The support item number and the date of the support.
- The quantity or hours and the unit price.
- The claim type, such as a direct service or a cancellation.
Who it's for
Bulk payment requests are for NDIA-managed participants. Plan-managed participants are invoiced to their plan manager, and self-managed participants are invoiced directly.
Check the receipt
Match the receipt file against what you claimed. Fix and resubmit any rejected lines, and keep each support's notes in case it's questioned.
How Care Nexus helps
Care Nexus prepares your claims from delivered supports and sends each one to the right payer for the participant's plan.
- Care Nexus creates the invoices automatically from the supports delivered. Once you've reviewed them, each goes to the right place automatically: the plan manager for plan-managed participants, the participant for self-managed, and the bulk payment file for NDIA-managed.
- NDIA-managed participants' claims are prepared as a bulk payment request file, ready to upload in the my NDIS provider portal.
- Plan-managed participants' supports are invoiced to their plan manager, and self-managed participants receive an invoice they can claim.
- Every claim type is supported: direct services, short notice cancellations, provider travel, non-face-to-face supports, telehealth and NDIA-requested reports.
- Each claim reduces the participant's budget for that support category, so you see what's left before the next booking.
